Two Liver Cleanses

Juice Cleanse for the Liver

(gentler, do every third day for a couple of rotations before doing the cleanse below)

You will need:

  • 4-6 tablespoons of cold pressed, virgin olive oil
  • 1 quart of prune juice at room temperature
  • 2 quarts cranberry juice from the health food store that contains only cranberry with
  • no other juices or sugar OR juice fresh vegetables and fruits.

For two days before the cleanse eat no animal products (meat, fish, chicken, eggs, milk, butter or cheese). This is called the mucus-less diet.
On the day of the cleanse start by 8:00 am. Do not eat any food during the cleanse.
By 8:00 am — start by drinking 8 ounces of prune juice with 2 tablespoons of olive oil stirred in. 8:00 – 11:30 am — every 30 minutes, alternate drinking 8 ounces of cranberry or freshly made juice and 8 ounces of water. So every 30 minutes you will drink one, then 30 minutes later youʼll drink the other.

At noon — repeat the 8 ounces of prune juice with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
l2:30 – 4:00 pm — continue to repeat juices and water every 30 minutes.
If you feel “sweetened out,” mix the juice of 1-2 lemons with water for one of the 30 minute rotations.
4:30 pm — you may stop the juice and water rotation if your colon is moving loosely. If the colon is not moving loosely, repeat the prune juice and olive oil, and continue the water and juice into the night. Eating will stop the loose colon, so it is important to allow loose bowels for at least one hour.
After youʼve had loose bowels for one hour, eat a vegetable salad to slow it down again.
For the next two days continue the mucus-less diet of no animal products, focusing on vegetables.

Olive Oil and Grapefruit Cleanse for the Liver

(more aggressive, fasting required)

Do not eat animal products, dairy, oil, or fat for breakfast or lunch. Foods recommended are complex carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits — the mucus-less diet.Eat lunch by 2:00 pm and do not eat or drink between 2:00 and 6:00 pm.
6:00 pm — drink two teaspoons of Epson salts stirred into the juice of two lemons and follow with six ounces of water.
8:00 pm — repeat the above: lemon, Epson salt and water.
10:00 pm — mix a half cup of light olive oil with the juice of a fresh, red or pink grapefruit. Shake in a jar and drink quickly. Then lay down and be very still for 30 minutes. If you feel nauseous, drink the juice of half a lemon every 30 minutes.
Next day at 6:00 am — if the bowels have been moving drink 16 ounces of water with one tablespoon of sea salt and the juice of a lemon. If the bowels have not been moving, repeat the Epson salts, lemons and water one time.
8:00 am — if you have not had the salt and water, do that now: 16 ounces of water with 1 Tablespoon sea salt and the juice of half a lemon. Otherwise go ahead with the next step.
8:30 am — complete an enema using 1/4 teaspoon baking soda with 10 ounces of warm water. 10:00 am — complete another baking soda enema to insure limited re-absorption.
Eat a mucus-less diet all day, then do one more enema in the evening.
